Who performs the treatments at Studio 16?
All consultations and treatments are performed by Manjinder Aulakh, a certified clinical aesthetician with over a decade of experience in the health and beauty industry.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, a consultation is a crucial first step. It allows us to thoroughly assess your skin, understand your concerns and goals, and create a safe and effective treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
What can I expect during my first consultation?
During your consultation, we will discuss your skin history, lifestyle, and beauty goals. Manjinder will perform a detailed skin analysis, answer all your questions, and recommend a personalized treatment and home care plan.
Is Studio 16 suitable for men?
Absolutely. We welcome clients of all genders and offer a range of treatments that are highly effective for common male skin concerns, such as razor burn, skin tags, sun damage, and general skin texture issues.

Treatment Specifics
Which treatment is right for me?
The best treatment for you depends entirely on your unique skin type, concerns, and goals. This will be determined during your initial consultation after a thorough skin analysis.
What is Microneedling and does it hurt?
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. We apply a topical numbing cream to ensure the procedure is comfortable. Most clients report feeling only a slight vibration or light pressure.
What is a Green Peel® and is it safe for sensitive skin?
The Green Peel® is a world-renowned, all-herbal peel that renews the skin without chemical acids. While the “Classic” version is intensive, we offer milder variations like “Fresh Up” and “Energy” that are excellent for strengthening and rejuvenating sensitive skin under expert guidance.
How is the Oxygeneo® 3-in-1 Super Facial different from a regular facial?
Oxygeneo® is a patented technology that provides three treatments in one: gentle exfoliation, infusion of nutrient-rich ingredients, and oxygenation of the skin from within. This creates superior results for skin tone, texture, and radiance compared to a standard facial.
Is Red LED Light Therapy safe?
Yes, Red LED Light Therapy is a completely safe, non-invasive, and painless treatment. It uses specific wavelengths of light to reduce inflammation and stimulate cellular repair without any UV exposure or damage to the skin.
How does cryotherapy for skin tags and blemishes work?
We use a precise cryotherapy device (like a Freezpen) that applies extreme cold to the blemish. This freezes and destroys the targeted cells, causing the skin tag or spot to darken and fall off naturally within about a week, leaving clear skin behind.
Are your treatments safe for all skin tones?
Yes, we specialize in treatments that are safe and effective for a wide range of skin tones. Manjinder has extensive experience treating diverse skin types and will always select a protocol that is appropriate and safe for your specific complexion.
How many treatments will I need to see results?
This varies greatly depending on the treatment and the condition being addressed. Some treatments, like Oxygeneo®, provide an immediate glow. Others, like microneedling or Green Peel®, often require a series of 3-6 sessions for optimal, lasting results. This will be outlined in your personalized plan.
Before & After Your Treatment
Is there any downtime with your treatments?
Downtime depends on the treatment. Oxygeneo® and LED Light Therapy have zero downtime. Microneedling may result in 24-48 hours of mild redness, similar to a sunburn. The Green Peel® Classic involves a few days of visible peeling. We will discuss all expected downtime during your consultation.
How should I prepare my skin for a treatment?
Generally, you should avoid excessive sun exposure and harsh exfoliants (like retinoids or acids) for several days before your appointment. Specific pre-treatment instructions will be provided when you book.
What is the typical aftercare for a treatment?
Aftercare is crucial for best results. It usually involves using gentle, hydrating products, avoiding direct sun exposure, and wearing a high-quality SPF. Detailed, treatment-specific aftercare instructions will be given to you at your appointment.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
For treatments with no downtime like Oxygeneo® or LED, you can apply makeup immediately. For more intensive treatments like microneedling or a deep peel, it’s best to wait at least 24-48 hours to allow the skin to heal properly.
How long will my results last?
The longevity of your results depends on the treatment, your skin condition, and your at-home skincare routine. We focus on creating lasting change, and with proper maintenance and sun protection, results can be very long-lasting.
Why is sunscreen so important after a treatment?
After a clinical treatment, your skin is more sensitive to UV radiation. Sunscreen protects your freshly treated skin from damage, prevents new pigmentation from forming, and preserves the beautiful results of your treatment.
Pricing and Policies
How much do your treatments cost?
Pricing varies depending on the specific treatment and the number of sessions required. We will provide a clear, detailed price quote during your consultation so there are no surprises.
Do you offer package deals?
Yes, we offer packages for treatments that require multiple sessions, such as microneedling or Green Peel®. Purchasing a package often provides a better value than paying per session.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another client. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
Do you sell skincare products?
Yes, we offer a curated selection of professional-grade skincare products that are chosen to complement our treatments and help you maintain your results at home.
Are consultations free?
There may be a nominal fee for the initial consultation to reserve the dedicated time with Manjinder. This fee is often applied as a credit toward your first treatment or product purchase. Please inquire when booking.
Health and Safety
Are the treatments safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Some treatments, like our gentle hydrating facials and Red LED therapy, are generally safe. However, others like microneedling and certain peels are not recommended. It is essential to inform us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding so we can advise you on safe options.
I have very sensitive skin and allergies. Can you still treat me?
Yes. Manjinder specializes in treating sensitive and reactive skin. During your consultation, we will perform a patch test if necessary and design a treatment plan using gentle, hypoallergenic options to ensure your skin’s safety and comfort.
How do you ensure the safety and cleanliness of your studio?
We adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. All tools are medically sterilized, and single-use items are disposed of after each client. The treatment room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between every appointment.
What if I am on medication like Accutane or using Retin-A?
It is critical to disclose all medications and topical treatments you are using. Clients on Accutane must wait at least six months after finishing their course before undergoing most of our treatments. Use of topical retinoids must be paused before and after certain procedures.
Can I get a treatment if I have an active breakout or cold sore?
If you have an active cold sore (Herpes Simplex Virus), we cannot perform treatments that involve the mouth area until it has fully healed to prevent spreading. For active acne breakouts, we can often modify the treatment to avoid inflamed areas or suggest a calming therapy instead. Please call us to discuss before your appointment.
